    Tranquillity went under complete restoration for the last 2 1/2 years. This spectacularly designed sailboat was going to sail the oceans of the world with its new owner. This was the basic concept used in of its reconstruction in addition to safety and confort. Unfortunatelly, shortly after she was put into the water,  destiny changed her owner life and so, now she is for sale to make somebody else happy......Among the many facets (all documented in a book) of this long reconstruction here are some of the most important one (not necessarly in order of importance): Complete restoration of the hull  by exposing (1/4") all blisters and subsequently repair it with epoxy following Intelux guideline. Replacing all chain plates were replaced substituting the old fashion wood feeling with modern "eternal materials" like Coosa composite while all the metal parts were made of  SS 314. The mast was visually inspected for failures. Its electrical wiring was replaced completelly with marine wiring. The rigging was inspected and when a single broken filament was encounter, the unit was replaced  (50% were replaced). The old rotten top teak floor was removed and replaced with Interlux filling materials and antislippery paints. The cockpit teak wood  was kept. All main electrical systems both the AC120 Volt as well as the DC 12 Volt were checked by a qualified marine electritian. In addition the  Xatrex Inverter Charger Freedom SW 3000 with its System Control Panel was checked for proper funtioning. A Dometic Marine AC with Reverse Cycle Heat Retrotit 115 Volt 16,000BTU was installed. This unit is capable of cooling or heating the entire boat   2 Newpowa 180 watt solar pannel with Victron Energy SmartSolar charge controller were install The sails of the boat were inspected: 2 were replaced while the other 2 were found in perfect conditions:       Asymetrical Crusing chute/sock 170% made by Mack Sail inspected.      Main Sail Made by Far East Sailmaker inspected.      Staysail 184.2 Ft2 New by Foreast Sail HK      Headsail 551.21 Ft2 (120%) New by Foreast Sail HK.   All old brass sea corks were replaced. A new Beta marine ( Beta 38) engine with high capacity alternator and a new transmission were installed. All sound insulation material was replaced assuring a very acceptable noise in the interior of the boat. Installation of a new propeller by by Michigan Wheel All Chain Plates were replaced utilizing Coosa material for packing and exclusevely SS 314 in the metal parts including the bolts. All raw, drinking and discharging gray waters pumps and 80% of hoses were replaced. All stern under deck wood carpentry was replaced with marine playwood which was painted with special water proof bilge paint. The old energy inefficient refrigeration system was replaced with a modern Isotherm Unit which refrigerates one of the two available insulated cavities. The second cavity has not yet been equipped with compressor. All internal and external lights and navigational lights were replaced for LED lights. A new ICOM VHF Radio M424G  with built in GPS receiver Waterproof (new) was installed with a very powerfull antenna installed on the top of the mast. The 2 existinf furling Harken System were inspected, lubricated and their proper functioning verified. The existing Scanmar Windvane SS 316 year 1996 was inspected and was found in excellent conditions (manufactured in 1996). The interior floor was sanded down 1/8", reconditioned and revarnished to its original look. The Garmin GPSMAP 541 was upgraded by Garmin.  A new antenna was installed and it is working perfectly Chart plotter Raymarine Axion with Navionic Mex-Car-Brz A new Raymarine Wind, Speed and Depth system was istalled. A new dinghy of 8 ft, (3 people) and a new Tohatsu 5HP propane outboard, ware purchased. Both, bathroom and kitchen countertops were covered with extra-thin quartz stone. The old manual toilet was replaced with a new electrical top of the line Raritan Elegance Toilet. The old stove was replaced with a new Force 10 stove equipped with safety gas control. In a Tayana 37 boat is practically impossible to reach rudder mechanism, muffle systems, and engine axel for maintenance purposes. For this reason the starbord stern container was cut out to allow a person to lower himself to the otherwise unaccesable area.
